Of course, goose meat is safe for consumption. In fact, Dr. Agnieszka Orkusz and experts from the University of Economics in Wroclaw, Poland, revealed that geese contain fatty acids that are far better and healthier than other types of birds.

According to Dr. Agnieszka Orkusz, goose meat contains 70 percent fatty acids and 23 percent more protein than other types of meat. One of the most common types of fatty acids is oleic acid.

The amount of oleic acid is even considered equivalent to oleic acid in olive oil . For this reason, the structure of goose meat is valued almost the same as olive oil.

Olive oil itself is proven to be beneficial for maintaining heart health. Because the structure of goose meat is similar to olive oil, experts believe that eating goose meat can also prevent heart disease .
